UK's first 'five-paw' cat hotel opens in Cornwall

In lots of catteries cats are just put in a cage, but we can drive the cats to and from the hotel, offer them lots of stimulation to keep them active during their stay, give them large rooms and lots of attention. “There is absolutely no wire mesh

Rough estimate – electricity in outbuilding?

ferretcharlie Asked: Rough estimate – electricity in outbuilding?

I'm hoping to start a cattery in the near future and am currently putting together a budget. How much would it cost (roughly!) to install electricity to an outside wooden construction? I'd ideally also like to have a socket fitted externally to the building for use in a lean-to greenhouse.

My partner and I have never had any electrical work done so a ball-park figure will stop us getting ripped off.

I'm in the UK.

Thank you!

what is the average price for boarding kennels?

welshy Asked: what is the average price for boarding kennels?

Ok so i'm planning on starting my own small business and i need to know the average price to keep you're dog/cat in a kennel or cattery and also how do they charge, do they charge per night? per dog or cat or both? if anyone lives in the south wales area idneed the prices from there but anywhere in the UK would also be helpful and if any one owns little furries (rats, rabbits guinea pigs etc.) and they know of any places they take them, prices for that would be helpful also.

Undecided Question: Frontline or Advantage for UK indoor/outdoor cat?

violethill Asked: Undecided Question: Frontline or Advantage for UK indoor/outdoor cat?

I usually use Frontline but I missed a month for both my dog and cat and found a flea on my dog yesterday. I assume that it was mainly down to the missed month of medicine, but on amazon reviews I saw that a lot of people report that Frontline simply doesn't work anymore because fleas have evolved to be immune to it.

Is that true? Or just Advantage's PR team leaving bad reviews on purpose?

I live in a high cat population area as it is an animal friendly cul de sac with an RSPCA cattery nearby.

What do you use for your cats? How well does it work? I've already got a year's supply of Frontline for my dog so I'm more willing to experiment with different drops for the cat.
